‘Fleurir’ is the French verb meaning to bloom, flower, or flourish. A metaphor for the journey of life. I tried to capture the limited time we have to enjoy our life, as well as the limited flowering time of a ‘peony’. They are so beautiful but the time to enjoy the blooms is short, sweet and somewhat fragile."
