"Spurred on by the COVID demand for outside entertainment, while maintaining family safety, clever entrepreneurs came to realize that every flower garden could grow into a revenue stream by providing the same “unique” photo opportunity for thousands. The annual photo pilgrimage has evolved from being just the ugly sweater purview of the mall-Santa Christmas tradition. The Humans have taken the discomfort of the family portrait to the next level, by moving their carefully-staged spontaneous moments out of doors, utilizing artfully curated field props, suitable for children and grownups alike. No longer will future generations be tasked with the onerous job of identifying strangers in untold numbers of photographs stashed in shoeboxes at the back of the family utility closet. Behold, the Selfie Generation. The possibilities are endless.
This image was created here in Ontario, on a small farm in the Cookstown area. A 29-year-old woman, who started this farm during COVID, essentially provides "agro-tainment" for families! The farm is a lovely local success story."
