"An artist is in a constant state of evolution. Today’s painting would not exist if not for all the paintings preceding it, and tomorrow’s painting is informed by today’s. There is never a point in an artist’s life that they can claim to have painted their masterpiece - that their life’s work is complete and they can put down the brushes. This is a life-long pursuit and every canvas is a fresh opportunity to discover something new. As a landscapist, I have expressed “renewal” in the form of rain and sunset."
