"Inspired by one of most favourite crystals, Malachite. I created this piece with similar colors and added texture with depth to resemble Malachite in an abstract way. Malachite is known for its energy to help ease your mind of anixety and depression, and take away bad energy out of your soul.
Colour, especially vibrant colour, is simply powerful. It captures our eye, our heart, our mood. Colour can vastly influence our souls, our emotions and allows us to be transported to an entirely different world, eclipsing the grayness and negativity that may surround us. Colour relationships, mixed with thick textures, allow me to express emotions and my connections to nature in a bright, intuitive and joyful manner. As an artist, colour makes me happy, no matter what the colour may be. I feel I see colours differently in our world, more vibrantly, more acutely and that beauty can overwhelm me and my work translates those feeling for all to share.
