Star Gazing, 38" round
Mixed Media on Plexiglass.
"To me, a painting isn't merely a depiction of an experience; it is the experience itself. Though they may seem abstract at first glance, my artworks are, in fact, representational. They aim to capture a reality that transcends immediate impressions, offering a fuller, more authentic visual experience and a deeper understanding of our state of being.
I draw inspiration from the inherent fluidity of paint, which introduces an element of randomness. As I observe drips of colours charting their course, I allow them to breathe their individuality. The very unpredictability of this process is what makes art-making exhilarating. Through playful juxtapositions of impressionistic acrylic fragments and stark black plexiglass, I offer an immersive and joyful encounter that challenges the chaotic discord of the 21st century."
