I love the idea of “A Canvas of Renewal” as I find great joy in the act of making art. Painting helps me fill my soul and keep me sane. My paintings and my process are about taking my feelings and my emotions and trying to create something that I hope others can connect with. Over time I have realized that painting is a lot like life - not perfect. In both my paintings and my life I’m trying not to dwell on mistakes but to keep painting until those layers can turn into something better. 

I hope that my art can have an impact on people and is something they can connect to in their own lives. Hopefully, it serves as a reminder to see the beauty in the process, but it’s also okay if people just see my work as something pretty to hang above their couch. Either way, I’m going to keep creating work. These last few years each new canvas for me has been part of my own process of renewal."
