“My primary objective is to capture the essence of the Canadian landscape. Having grown up in northern Ontario, where the terrain is rugged and intense, I find myself drawn to that raw beauty as a constant source of inspiration for my paintings.”

A graduate of the Alberta College of Art and Design, Susan Ross has exhibited in many juried shows and commercial and public art galleries. Her artwork is included in numerous private and corporate collections. Awards include The Sun Times People’s Choice Award at the Tom Thomson Memorial Art Gallery in Owen Sound, Ontario, second place at the 2012 Juried VAM Show at the Art Gallery of Mississauga, and third at the 2016 Juried VAM Show. Her work has evolved over the years to her current explorations in colorful impressionistic landscapes.
