Olga Puzikova

BIO

Born in Samara, Russia (1993), Olga Puzikova has been engaged with art from an early age. Between 2000 and 2009, she studied painting, sculpture, and drawing, developing a strong foundation in classical techniques. Over time, her practice shifted toward a more personal and concept-driven approach focused on meaning, transformation, and the relationship between emotion and form.

A significant turning point in Olga's practice came through migration and the process of rebuilding life from scratch in a new cultural environment while caring for a young child. This experience deeply reshaped her perspective and became a powerful catalyst for artistic development, marking what she describes as "a complete reorientation of the creative language". Now based in Dubai, Olga's perspective continues to evolve through ongoing cultural transition, which informs both her artistic language and conceptual direction.

ARTIST STATEMENT

"My work is in a state of continual evolution, shaped by personal growth, environment, and lived experience. I approach art as a way to evoke emotion, create connection, and open a quiet space for a dialogue with the viewer. Each stage of life brings new insights, allowing my visual language to develop while remaining grounded in authenticity and sensitivity."
