About the Collection

"The tree, majestic and silent, is fully integrated into its environment, forming a symbiosis with it that we feel more than we can describe. Through Arborescents Whispers collection, my desire is to evoke the feeling of fulfillment that one experiences when standing near a wooded area, where the trees move gently, whatever the season. This movement, both visible and spiritual, reveals the constant dialogue that takes place between them, a subtle
and sometimes subliminal, but nevertheless powerful communication. The branches whisper, carried by the wind, telling secret stories that go beyond the simple gaze. I try to capture this invisible presence in my paintings, sometimes in a realistic, stylized or symbolic way, so that the viewer can feel this exchange, this breath of the trees that envelops us. They are not simple elements of scenery: they are alive, conscious, linked to us much more than we imagine. They offer us the oxygen we need for our existence, reminding us of the deep connection that unites us to them.

My color choices are born instinctively, in harmony with natural cycles, implicitly evoking renewal and transition. The textures and the ink intertwine to convey the materiality of the bark, the lightness of the leaves, and the quiet strength of the trunks, reinforcing this sensory and timeless experience. I do not seek to transmit scientific data, but rather to invite poetic meditation, an invitation to relearn to listen to nature. It is essential today to rethink our relationship with trees and nature. Instead of destroying them, we must learn to cultivate them, to preserve this ancestral dialogue that connects us to them. As I contemplate this collection, I would like everyone to feel this gentle urgency, this deep respect, and for the fullness that comes from contact with the tree and its environment to settle in themselves. That the breath of the branches can resonate in everyone, nourishing a living link between humans and nature."

After twenty years of painting and experimenting with various mediums, France Benoit discovered a true passion for encaustic. At its core, encaustic is a medium of beeswax, tree sap mixed with pigments, each layer fused with heat to create depth and luminosity that is unparalleled in other mediums. Her art is characterized by textures, colors and shapes that can touch her audience and offer them joy and serenity. Always eager to perfect her technique, France attended many workshops and training given by professional artists. These years of experience and practice also allowed France to participate in many exhibitions and to be several times awarded for her works. Her presence can be noted at the Mirabel Expo-Concert, at Brilliant Moment in British Columbia, at the Propeller Gallery in Toronto and at the San Antonio Art League and Museum. Her passion for art and her will to share her story with the world make her an artist with an enduring career and legacy.
