"A couple of weeks ago a friend of mine sent me a photo of this beautiful scene, and I instantly had to paint it. Her timing was perfect as I was contemplating what I was going to work on next. Sometimes it just works out that way! I am learning that when inspiration strikes I need to do all I can to seize the moment.” 

Joanne focuses mainly on the beauty of nature and its surroundings. “My art practice is the way I connect with the world around me and share the joy I experience. The techniques I use to bring attention to the details of texture, colour, space, and contrast, are shaped in a way to draw the viewer in to savour every delicious detail.”
