When you give someone a bunch of cosmos flowers, you are giving them the universe!

"Cosmoses or Cosmos (flowers of the fall) comes from the Greek word Kosmos, which means ‘world’, ‘order’ or a harmonious arrangement. The Cosmoses flower has very neatly ordered petals, reflecting the order and harmony of the universe. - aka The Cosmos.

When I picked this flower as my muse for this collection I didn’t realize how in-tuned I am with where I am emotionally…right now.  The self-awareness and self-love are growing. It’s a beautiful thing.  Love is a living thing and needs to be nurtured. This self-love brings the body, spirit and mind together in harmony. I hope I am translating this harmony and capturing the essence of the cosmos' grace onto the canvas. This collection is new and my brushstrokes are a bit tighter and more calculated. There is a lot of thought and feeling going into it. Right now it’s ok with me to be here. As if I am taking baby steps before I can take the bigger ones."

Canadian artist Bibiana has been refining her skills in abstract florals and landscape paintings for the past several years. She started off as a realistic painter, but that didn’t excite her. She wanted to tap into a more intuitive way of painting. She likes working with acrylics, fluid acrylics and inks… exploring how these mediums work together in layers on a canvas and water-colour paper.
